Overview

Under the direction of the Trade Compliance Manager, performs the temporary importation of goods and the export of finished products when necessary. Responsible for the overall filing of these operations. Correction, validation, and payment of Consolidated Customs Declarations. Opening and closing of invoices, reports, and department's charts and metrics.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepares import and export invoices.
  2. Maintains control of the file/archive of customs entries and official documents.
  3. Opens weekly preliminary reviews of customs entries.
  4. Generates documents for the import crossing of containers.
  5. Follows up on imports through their border crossing and arrival at the plant.
  6. Prepares transportation expense reports.
  7. Reviews consolidated customs entries.
  8. Corrects, validates, and pays consolidated customs entries.
  9. Processes the final (definitive) import of MRO when necessary.
  10. Creates new materials in the system.
  11. Controls entries, references, shipment numbers, and security seals in export/import operations.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in foreign trade or a related field.
  • One to three years of experience in the area.
  • 80% proficiency in English.
  • Skills in Excel, charts, teamwork, working under objective fulfillment, and good interpersonal relations.
