Overview

Under the direction of the ATE Engineer, the ATE Technician is responsible for installing, verifying, calibrating, maintaining (preventive and corrective), support to production and continuously improving test equipment to ensure reliable and accurate test operations.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities – ATE Technician

 

  • Analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair test equipment–related issues and events.
  • Install and validate test equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with requirements.
  • Implement continuous improvement actions to enhance test equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Perform calibration and verification of test equipment according to established procedures and standards.
  • Provide both corrective and preventive maintenance for test equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.
  • Report and document required changes to the test equipment database, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Control and maintain Golden Units / standard references used for test validation.
  • Manage and control test equipment parts and spare components inventory.
  • Maintain availability to work overtime when required to support production or critical activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education & Technical Background

  • Technical degree or associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field; bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of electronic test equipment, automated test systems, and basic electrical/electronic principles.

Technical Skills

  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining test equipment and ATE systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices for test stations and related hardware.
  • Familiarity with calibration and verification procedures for test equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Basic knowledge of databases, test configurations, or version control for test equipment changes.
  • Experience controlling Golden Units / standards is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using basic measurement instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.).
  • Basic computer skills (Windows environment, Office tools); experience with manufacturing or test software is a plus. 

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, test, or engineering support environment (preferred).
  • Experience supporting production lines or test operations in a high-mix or high-volume environment is an advantage.
