Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Finance Manager to oversee and manage the accounting and financial operations of several entities reporting into the Hong Kong office.  This position will report directly to the Regional Finance Director. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise and experience in accounting and finance operations, including proficiency of accounting processes and internal controls,  financial statement preparation, reporting and analysis, tax and audit compliance, treasury management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and business partnering.  Work experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or MNC preferred.  Proficiency working with SAP S4HANA or similar global accounting ERP is preferred.  This role requires a highly motivated professional with a strong work ethic, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to drive financial success.

Responsibilities

Financial and Accounting Operations Management: 

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations for all entities reporting into the Hong Kong office. This includes Singapore and South Korea entities.   Ensure accuracy of financial information and compliance with industry standards and company policies and regulations. 
  • Manage financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting processes as required .
  • Ensure the effective use and optimization of SAP S4HANA to streamline operations and improve financial accuracy. 
  • Management of annual audits including primary contact with outside audit partner.

Tax and Treasury: 

  • Working with outside tax service provider, manage tax compliance for all entities, filings, and reporting in accordance with local laws.
  • Develop and execute treasury strategies, including cash flow management, liquidity planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Support company Global Tax department as required

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): 

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations on financial performance and key business drivers.
  • Develop financial models and reports to support short- and long-term planning.

 

Business Partnering: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sales, and marketing) to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing financial guidance and support to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Drive cost optimization and profitability improvement initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management: 

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and statutory regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications

Education & Qualification: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies or a related field with Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, etc). MBA is a plus.

Experience: 

  • 8+ years of proven experience in finance and accounting operations, with solid expertise in SAP or similar ERP system, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A functions.
  • Strong background in business partnering and working with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance.
  • Experience with Big 4 accounting firm or multinational company preferred

Skills: 

  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system and familiar with other financial systems for purchasing and T&E.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and complexity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment as required.
  • Proficient in Cantonese and English communications, Mandarin a plus
