Overview

Under the guidance of the Maintenance Engineer, the Maintenance Technician will carry out corrective and preventive maintenance programs on production machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance on Assembly Equipment in the Production areas by attending to and executing the following tasks:

    • Respond promptly to production calls.
    • Escalate any failure events to area engineers if unresolved within 30 minutes.
    • Provide knowledge and support for setups (such as die changes, torque adjustments, press adjustments, etc.).
    • Maintain production equipment as needed to meet established goals.
    • Identify required spare parts.
    • Create and follow up on purchase orders.
    • Prepare downtime and top offender reports.
    • Manage spare parts for production equipment.
    • Be part of the PST team for each area and provide objective support.
    • Communicate with corporate for tracking spare parts or obtaining necessary equipment information.
    • Develop, modify, and track preventive maintenance (PM) processes.
    • Support technicians in carrying out their duties.
    • Create tool orders.
    • Follow up on directions from Engineers and/or Management.

Qualifications

  • Final semesters of an engineering degree related to the manufacturing field.
  • Degree and/or Technical Diploma related to Maintenance Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Renewable Energies, or another technology-focused area.
  • Advanced knowledge in Low Voltage Electricity, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Mechanics, PLC Fault Debugging, Vision Systems, and Robotics.
  • Teamwork skills, self-initiative, excellent interpersonal relationships, and strong communication abilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work under various projects with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of reporting assertively to engineers and generating continuous improvement ideas.
