Overview

TEMPORARY 6-MONTH JOB OPPORTUNITY: Under the supervision of the Safety and Environment Engineer, performs activities in support of compliance with the legal requirements of the EHS department.

Responsibilities

  • Control of hazardous and non-hazardous waste logs
  • Printing of safety labels for plant chemicals
  • Digitization of EHS System documents
  • Support with updating the safety board
  • Participation in updating calendars regarding studies required by STPS
  • Documenting safety risks, photos, videos
  • Control of safety sheets for plant chemicals
  • Basic knowledge of identifying environmental aspects and impacts
  • Participation in improvement projects
  • Support for training operational staff
  • Support in implementing NOM-018 STPS
  • Other duties asigned

Qualifications

  • Last semesters or recent graduate of Industrial Engineering, Administration, Environmental Engineer or a related field.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Basic proficiency in English (40%), with the ability to read documents.
  • Basic knowledge of the identification of risks, hazards, as well as NOM's.
  • Basic knowledge of the identification of environmental aspects and impacts, as well as identifying applicable standards.
  • Basic concepts of ergonomics.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
  • Strong service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective Communication skills.
  • Ability to work towards and achieve set objectives.
