To reinforce our Global Compliance team, we are looking for a Senior Engineer, Regulatory Compliance.

 

Are you an experienced professional who is able to understand and analyze the impact of all new and updated Environmental and RF/EMC/Safety Regulations to our Shure products in Europe and support Shure’s strategy and growth vision?

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance, the Senior Engineer will be well versed in the world of Regulatory Compliance and will be responsible for resolving compliance gaps and drive new compliance initiatives to support our growth in the UK, Europe and Middle East (EMEA) regions.

 

This role can be filled in the UK, France, Denmark, Netherlands or Germany (remote or on-site in one of our offices).

Responsibilities

  • Develop good relationship and establish communication with regulatory bodies for UK and EU regions, specifically those that regulate environmental affairs and reply to public consultations as Shure representative
  • Stay up-to-date of current industry trends and new and emerging legislation, analyze the impact of regulation changes on Shure products and advise/give advance notifications of key regulatory changes/developments to Global Compliance team and all Shure stakeholders
  • Develop and project-manage environmental regulatory strategies, procedures, and controls for new products and/or business activities that require regulatory approval within UK and EMEA region
  • Prepare and submit regulatory applications such as permits, licenses, test samples, certificates and authorization required by governmental agencies and local test houses
  • Assist in coordinating and preparing various compliance reporting to regulatory organizations, meeting documentations, training material, performing internal audits on the effectiveness of compliance policies
  • Maintain records of international Regulatory Compliance regulations including technical details for UK and EMEA region
  • Support Shure UK and EMEA Sales teams in all product’s regulatory matters
  • Monitor special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline or up to five years of work experience in product compliance, preferably in Environmental regulatory compliance of EU and UK regulations
  • Fundamental knowledge on Environmental Affairs in UK and EU Region i.e., WEEE, ROHS, REACH, Battery Directives, Packaging Waste Management, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of government regulatory procedures and requirements and ability to learn complex information and well versed in EU Directives and UK Regulations. Experiences in EMEA region product compliance is an added advantage
  • Experience in Cyber Security is a plus
  • Possession of strong attention to detail, strong ability to evaluate, appraise and prioritize risk 
  • Good analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills in both written and spoken English, confidence in French Language is a benefit
  • Proficient with MS Office / Excel / PowerPoint; experience in using SAP systems is helpful
  • Some travel both domestically and internationally
