Overview

As a global role, this position is dedicated to supporting the company in identifying and quantifying new market opportunities. It plays a crucial role to enhance organization's global visibility and capturing the voice of the customer and effectively representing their needs in a global context. The incumbent showcases a proven ability to enhance industry relationships by representing Shure with professional bodies and associations in the audio and tech industry. With a focus on strategic initiatives, this role drives impactful outcomes that maximize market potential for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the voice of the customer, providing impartial data-based analysis of trends and needs in all markets by integrate with global user communities and associations.
  • Stay ahead of trends and external influences, continuously identifying and quantifying new market opportunities.
  • Drive proactive approaches by focusing on market trends and facilitating effective information exchange between teams. Collaborate closely with GM, GPM, Strategy & Innovation, PDD, CMI, Business Analytics and local sales teams to ensure alignment. 
  • Support regional Market Development and Regional Product Managers (RPMs) through structured meeting engagements. 
  • Working alongside senior team members, establish touchpoints internally and externally to ensure cohesion and consistency across divisions and regions. Represent Shure with global professional bodies and associations in the audio and tech industry, enhancing industry relationships. Gather feedback and requests from regional teams and assess global opportunities associated with them. 
  • Research and help expand sales channels for Shure products, maximizing their reach and accessibility. 
  • Provide efficient access to end-user and market information, expediting field trials, alpha and beta tests, and strategic seeding to optimize impact and ROI. 
  • Research existing partnerships to identify areas for improvement and explore new associations aligned with strategic goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in market development or a similar role with a global focus.
  • Experience in the audio industry or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs across different regions.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and accountable mindset, enabling the successful completion of tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data to identify market opportunities and trends.
  • Proven ability to drive proactive approaches and think strategically to stay ahead of trends and external influences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of effectively representing Shure and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Mandarin and Japanese is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of sales channels for product distribution, with the ability to expand and optimize their reach.
  • Familiarity with industrial related global user communities and associations, and the ability to establish a strong brand presence and partnerships.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support global market development initiatives.
