Are you looking to change your tune? Shure is growing, and we are looking for a Senior IT Security Analyst to join our team. 

 

The Senior IT Security Analyst plays a pivotal role in the maturation of Shure’s cybersecurity program, standards, and controls documentation, as well as IT Security policies and procedures. In partnership with the greater IT team, you will assist with the development of a cybersecurity risk portfolio which includes both internal and third-party systems. In this role, you will own the maturation of our internal cybersecurity awareness programs for Associates. Additionally, you will work on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), triaging endpoint detection and response (EDR) detections, and vulnerability management.

 

This role is hybrid based in Niles, IL. We will also consider remote applicants for this position. 

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a champion for Information Security best practices and policies.
  • Supports development, maintenance and publishing of security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure they remain current.
  • Evaluates control gaps and documents findings in the form of corrective action plans.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of Company-wide security infrastructure standards.
  • Identifies and implements security process improvements.
  • Evaluates controls to ensure they are adequate and functional to support Shure’s cybersecurity program.
  • Ensures new projects and changes adhere to Information Security policies and governance standards.
  • Assists in the maturation of our vulnerability management program.
  • Identifies technology and security risks associated with non-compliance with policies and standards and works with stakeholders to remediate or develop a risk treatment plan.
  • Documents new and changing IT systems or business processes to ensure they are following cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Conducts penetration tests and audits of Shure’s IT systems.
  • Reviews and monitors the organizational security compliance against the NIST CSF framework.
  • Completes cybersecurity risk assessments of technology vendors the firm is considering.
  • Makes continuous improvements to our internally branded security training and awareness program.
  • Designs and executes phishing campaigns to ensure users are trained in common phishing tactics and how to respond.Maintains current technical industry awareness of security risks and exposures to proactively identify and promote effective counter-measures.
  • Encourages cooperative working with all business functions to achieve shared goals, ensuring security awareness within the teams. This includes writing process documents and rolling out training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Security infrastructure and technologies.
  • Industry-recognized certifications a plus.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Experience with change management.
  • Ability to triage and remediate phishing and impersonation attacks in a timely and efficient manner as the risk dictates.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based web and email filtering solutions.
  • Ability to learn quickly and pragmatically address risk.
  • Good understanding of security frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS etc.
  • Experience reviewing logging and system telemetry.
  • Data analysis, ideally beyond Excel.
  • Scripting ability may be helpful.
  • Has a full understanding of industry practices and/or company policies and procedures.
  • Able to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data or situations requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for difficult assignments and of diverse scope.
