In your role as Senior Analyst, IT Business Applications (Software Sales), you will work within the IT department as part of a cross-functional team focused on delivering customer-oriented technologies that enable go-to-market strategies for the next generation of Shure’s software embedded products and solutions. Working alongside your team, you will play a pivotal hands-on role in ensuring that solutions are delivered with quality and that expectations are met for functionality, useability, reliability, and availability.

 

Stakeholder engagement will be key as this role will be working with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences at different levels within the organization to share knowledge and complex ideas, provide updates and influence and challenge when necessary.

 

This role is hybrid based in Niles, IL. We will also consider remote applicants for this position. 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the product owner, IT leadership, and other stakeholders to help define a technology roadmap aligned to software-based product initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation of a clear set of fully documented features and user stories that are part of a well-balanced product backlog.
  • Assist in the solution design of identified user stories within the product backlog
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog and work with the team to do sprint planning
  • Determine acceptance criteria and help write test cases for unit and user acceptance testing. Assist in execution unit and system integration testing of planned user stories to be delivered
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, reporting, and defect prioritization with the business leads
  • Communicate, collaborate and negotiate with key stakeholders at various levels in the organization
  • Create to-be process flows, impact analysis, and decision documentation
  • Obtain appropriate buy-in and alignment on difficult decisions and to solve complex issues, knowing how to negotiate, and when to escalate when appropriate
  • Work with other members of the team to effectively manage risks and issues
  • Develop and maintain end user training documentation and deliver training as required
  • Perform Change Management functions including documentation and administration of assigned release activity
  • Provide system administration, data management, and technical support to end users of supported applications in accordance with IT SLAs
  • Perform knowledge transfer and training with team members and business wherever appropriate
  • Adhere and contribute to internal processes, procedures and policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of business analyst experience
  • 2+ years of full-lifecycle Agile experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, including requirements gathering, testing and release of software go-to market solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to perform process decomposition, root cause analysis, and gap analysis
  • Ability to synthesize information to form a feature or user story that’s aligned with the stated business objective(s)
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction on day-to-day assignments
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Strong desire to be deemed a technical subject matter expert across multiple business applications which support a full end-to-end software license provisioning process
  • A demonstrated commitment to learning and development

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Hands-on experience in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) or similar e-Commerce platforms
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Sales or Service Cloud
  • Familiarity with SAP ECC Sales and Distribution or S/4HANA Sales
  • Understanding of iPaaS tools such as Boomi or SAP CPI
  • Prior experience working for a software vendor or within the software division of a multi-national IT company
  • Understanding of entitlement management systems and software licensing technologies
  • Desire to learn other adjacent technologies such as Revenera Flexnet Operations or Okta
  • Experience working in Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
