In your role as Architect, IT Business Applications (Software Sales), you will design and support integrated technology solutions across multiple cloud applications that enable go-to-market strategies for the next generation of Shure’s software embedded products and solutions. Responsible for thought leadership, coordination of technical implementation and day-to-day solution support of Shure’s order management of subscription based solutions.

 

You will work within the IT department to design and drive end-to-end solutions from requirements to production in a single LOB (Software Products). You will also have a basic awareness of technology solutions in adjacent LOBs (e.g. Hardware Sales) and collaborate closely with internal customers, process owners, development teams, support teams and other stakeholders across the globe to ensure that solutions are delivered with quality while meeting or exceeding expectations for functionality, reliability and availability. This role requires exposure to industry best practices, technology trends, the willingness to learn new and emerging technologies.  Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant standards, guidelines and procedures.  You will wear multiple hats and balance priorities to continuously drive value.

 

Stakeholder engagement will be key as this role will be working with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences at different levels within the organization to share knowledge and complex ideas, drive solution roadmaps, backlog prioritization,  provide updates and influence and challenge when necessary. The ideal candidate will be extremely proactive, self-driven, very user experience focused and can work well both independently with minimal direction and as part of a team. 

 

This role is hybrid based in Niles, IL. We will also consider remote applicants for this position. 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the product owner, IT leadership, and other stakeholders to help define a technology roadmap aligned to software-based product initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation of a clear set of fully documented features and user stories that are part of a well-balanced, product backlog
  • Perform solution design, solution architecture, architecture roadmaps, prototyping, proof of concepts for current and future roadmap initiatives
  • Assist in managing and prioritizing the product backlog and work with the team to do sprint planning.
  • Conduct Solution Architecture reviews with project teams prior to design and development activities and ensure solution is scalable and meets customers' business requirements
  • Act as a liaison between Technical team, Functional team, Business Functions, and System Integrators to drive strategic and divisional initiatives
  • Communicate, collaborate and negotiate with key stakeholders at various levels in the organization
  • Create to-be process flows, impact analysis, and decision documentation
  • Obtain appropriate buy-in and alignment on difficult decisions and to solve complex issues, knowing how to negotiate, and when to escalate when appropriate
  • Work with other members of the team to effectively manage risks and issues
  • Provide system administration, data management, and technical support to end users of supported applications in accordance with IT SLAs
  • Perform knowledge transfer and training with team members and business wherever appropriate
  • Adhere and contribute to internal processes, procedures and policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 7+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience designing and supporting integrated technology solutions across multiple cloud applications order management platforms.
  • 3+ years in a delivery lead / project leadership role managing multiple SAP Commerce Cloud full life cycle Agile implementations.
  • Functional and Technical Knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud including B2B Commerce Modules, B2B Storefront Development, Addons and customizations, SAP Commerce Core and Commerce Modules. Hybris OCC layer, SAP Integrations with SAP Commerce, Payment Integrations, Hot Folder Integrations, Single Sign On using SAML extension of Hybris, Order Management, Quote Management, and Integrations
  • Experience in designing integrations between SAP Commerce Cloud to other order and entitlement management applications leveraging iPaas tools such as SAP CPI, Boomi and Mulesoft
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, including requirements gathering, solutioning, testing and release of software go-to market solutions.
  • Ability to synthesize information to form a feature or user story that’s aligned with the stated business objective(s)
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Strong desire to be deemed a technical subject matter expert across multiple business applications which support a full end-to-end software license provisioning process
  • A demonstrated commitment to learning and development on adjacent technologies to ensure knowledge of all architecture on designed solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to perform process decomposition, root cause analysis, gap analysis and make sound technical risk judgements
  • Self-starter who takes ownership, meets or exceeds commitments and multi-tasks effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong time management skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience working in Confluence, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools
  • Certification(s) on SAP Commerce Cloud
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Sales or Service Cloud
  • Familiarity with SAP ECC Sales and Distribution or S/4HANA Sales
  • Desire to learn other adjacent technologies such as Revenera Flexnet Operations or Okta
  • Prior experience working for a software vendor or within the software division of multi-national IT company
  • Understanding of entitlement managements systems and software licensing technologies
