We are looking for a Compensation Analyst to assists with the development, implementation and administration of global compensation policies and programs.

 

The Compensation Analyst will advise HR staff and leadership on compensation policies and programs. The analyst will conduct analyses of jobs and salaries in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance. In this role you will also make recommendations regarding salary grades or market rates for specific jobs.  

 

This role can be mostly REMOTE, based out of our Niles, IL office, with the option to come into the office. This position will be required to be in office 1-2 times per month. 

 

Candidates must have experience with Compensation and Human Resources. 

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and administration of compensation policies and programs by advising HR staff and company leadership. 
  • Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position.
  • Market price all new jobs for global locations and provide recommendations (salary grade, title, job description, etc).  
  • Assists in the formulation of recommendations regarding development of global salary structures, FLSA exemptions, job revisions, and organizational structures.   
  • Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices.  
  • Audits jobs for content and prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements. 
  • Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.  
  • Assists in the development of incentive programs and the administration of performance review or merit-rating programs.  
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Compensation Certifications are a plus.    
  • 1 to 2 years of experience with a basic knowledge of broad based compensation theory, concepts, and best practices. 
  • Advanced Excel skills is preferred.
  • Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures 
  • Knowledge of compensation laws and issues. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HRIS systems. ADP is preferred.
  • Ability to resolve issues on a timely basis and handle a variety of on-going projects at any given time. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, analytical, and project management skills. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
