Engineer Sr, QE

Sr Quality Engineer Ensures that activities or changes that could directly impact production processes or quality systems are understood, evaluated and validated prior to their implementation using standard manufacturing industry methodologies or processes.

1.  Monitoring and coordination of the development of quality deliverables for the new product project (BRT) in each of its development phases and launch and post-launch phase.
2.  Responsible for the operational quality department in processes of identification and evaluation of risk situations at the manufacturing process level using the PFMEA methodology for tnew product projects (BRT). Prepares when necessary in conjunction with CQE regional presentations to scale and report risk situations of process or design that could result in impact of KPIs (Efficiency, FPY, scrap, In-Process Yield).
3. Responsible as quality representative to ensure the proper evaluation of process changes prior to implementation and release following the internal methodology of PCN (Process Change Notice)
4. Maintain contact as a corporate entity to support corporate projects ensuring an adequate process characterization, developing and successfully implementing the QAP (Quality Assurance Plan).
5. Supports the activities of Corporate initiatives or entities (e.g. PM, CQE, Advance Manufacturing or NPI).
6. Lead quality initiatives that positively impact the QMS and help trigger significant improvements in FPY quality metrics, Scrap Reduction, In-Process Yield, customer Complaints, MRB.
7. Coordinates the process of solving problems for external customer complaints and acts as one of the communication bridges between corporate entity and plant.

• University degree completed: Electronic, Electrical, Industrial and Systems Engineering or similar.
• 10 years of experience as a quality engineer in manufacturing areas
• English 85% or more (experience in communication with customers and meetings coordination)
• Experience in root cause identification and problem solving methodologies (8d's, 5Why's, PDCA, Fishbone, Tree Fault Analysis, etc.)
• Extensive experience in characterization and validation of processes, transfers and / or start-up of production lines.
• MS Office advanced level
• Minitab intermediate level
• Training or mastery in Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plan)
• Minitab Advanced Level
• Verifiable training or SS Green Belt / Black Belt certification. (Desirable)
• ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 Internal Auditor (Desirable)
