Overview

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, is responsible for supporting shared metrics with production under a continuous improvement program.

Responsibilities

  1.  Support the production team in solving process problems.
  2.  Generates CR's (Engineering Changes) and CR-Deviation (Temporary Engineering Deviations).
  3.  Define installed capacity in the production areas.
  4.  Perform cost analysis.
  5.  Prepare work area distribution plans (LayOut).
  6. Analyzes, measures, controls and implements corrective and / or preventive actions.
  7.  Notify the Maintenance department in the case of having tools or fixtures that are required to be added in the preventive maintenance program.
  8.  Lead the production team in special runs (select batches).
  9.  Lead the BRT process until before launch. 
  10.  Participate in the development of PFMEA's.
  11.  Make continuous improvements.
  12.  Performs together with the production team the analysis of the root cause in the solution of the problems presented in production to give the appropriate corrective action and if it applies preventive.
  13.  Execute activities for the development, implementation and monitorin of the Continuous Improvement System (5's, waste elimination, SMED, process mapping, standard work, kanban, kaizen and visual factory).

Qualifications

  • University Degree Completed: Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • 6 years or more of experience.
  • Management of measuring instruments.
  • Management of multiple projects.
  • Support to jr. manufacturing Engineers when required.
  • Graduated from Master's degree and / or certification in something related to Manufacturing / Operations. 
  • Knowledge in six sigma and DMAIC
  • Excellent customer service attitude.
  • High sense of ownership and / or belonging.
