Senior Specialist, Market Development (Western region)

As a Senior Market Development Specialist, you will plan programs and participates in field events to support sales growth for Company products in targeted market segments. Trains Independent Sales Representatives on methods for repeating these programs in their geographic areas. Collects customer leads and useful feedback on Company products, programs, and services.

This is a remote in the US for the Western region.

• Identifies, researches, evaluates, and prioritizes market leads and opportunities to reach potential customers outside of the current Company revenue stream.
• Develops and provides product presentations and demonstrations for the sales team and end users to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of Company product categories.
• Schedules, coordinates, and conducts training sessions to educate Independent Sales Representatives and Dealers on product benefits and sales techniques.
• Works with the Marketing team regarding technical and logistical support for conferences, seminars, clinics, and other special events.
• Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of education/training efforts in all markets.
• Monitors online forums as assigned and reports on items of interest to the Company.
• Provides support for, and input to, the Product Planners and Product Marketing Specialists on the Company’s product lines.
• Monitors and reports on competitive activity, both from a product and market development standpoint.
• Manages departmental inventory of demo equipment and loan stock.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience using skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a comprehensive technical knowledge of audio principles and products.
• Background or experience with touring production, theater production, broadcast production, and related fields is preferred.
• Has a thorough understanding of industry practices, workflow, and terminology.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for difficult assignments of diverse scopes.
• Able to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data or situations requires evaluation of identifiable factors and adapts as needed.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Powerpoint, Excel, and Word. Drafting Programs, and Audio DSP Platform Competencies are a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and good time management skills.
• 50% travel annually – including some weekends – is required.
