Talent Acquisition Specialist

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will be responsible for planning, development, evaluation, implementation, and execution of a creative recruiting strategy for assigned positions to identify, attract, and secure the best talent in the industry!

You will own full cycle recruitment, which includes, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offering, and more across all Shure divisions (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Engineering, IT, etc.) with a focus on technical recruiting. You will collaborate with Business Leaders, Hiring Managers, and Human Resources Business Partners to recruit high caliber talent into the organization. In addition to leading recruitment initiatives, you will also help drive an inclusive onboarding process, plan and execute Shure's intern program, and expand our employment brand through events, social media, and community celebrations throughout the year! 

This role is mostly remote, but must be local to the Chicagoland area to assist in facilitating various on-site talent initiatives at our Niles, IL Corporate Headquarters.  

• Develops and administers staffing & recruiting programs, working with hiring manager to document requirements of job openings as required
• Develops innovative, creative, and proactive recruitment strategies to meet the business needs of each hiring manager.
• Leverages various resources to source qualified candidates using the Internet, social media, print, media, formal/information networks, etc., to source a diverse candidate pool.
• Responsible for pre-screening resumes, conducting phone and in person interviews to evaluate and provided recommendations to the hiring manager
• Negotiates and/or supports hiring manager in developing new hire compensation package.
• Works with agencies, to recruit for temporary or contract openings, providing performance feedback on all recruiting agencies/sources.
• Continuously fosters a pipeline for key or frequently available positions.
• Develops supports and maintains college recruitment and internship program.
• Participates in recruitment and selection projects and recommends changes to the process to increase attraction and retention of highly qualified candidates.
• Maintains ongoing awareness of the Company’s business and customer groups in order to effective recruit the best talent.
• Complies with federal, state, and local regulations by administering employment practices within standard operating procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of recruiting best practices. 
• Proven ability to proactively identify, establish, and access candidate sources to successfully fill career opportunities within established metrics.
• Experience recruiting for technical (Software, IT & Engineering) positions. 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience actively sourcing candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Computer literacy required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• Extensive knowledge of the federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communications.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively in sensitive and confidential issues by telephone, in writing, and face-to-face contacts with the public and Associates at all levels of the Company.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel.
