This role will be based in our Niles, IL headquarters and will keep a hybrid schedule. 

• Prepares journal entries and other related trend or variance analysis including balance sheet accounts, income statement verifications, and foreign subsidiary results for month-end close.
• Prepares and issues reports and analyses for management and decision-makers.
• Researches technical standards and practices for proper accounting treatment of new or revised processes, business changes, and/or FASB updates.
• Keeps GRIR and Associate Balances cleared and up to date.
• Maintains departmental guidelines/instructions, job aids, and written procedures.
• May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track, and report financial information in accordance with company policy.
• Analyzes monthly accruals and prepares journal entries for month-end close.
• Prepares year-end journal entries, account reconciliations, schedules, and provides assistance to external auditors on annual year-end audit.
• May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations.
• May assist in the development and monitoring of internal controls to meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
• Provides assistance to other departments as needed for financial accounting issues
• Oversees the completion of projects including planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing progress and accuracy of work, including evaluation of results and recommendations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, CPA preferred
• Entry level to 2 years of experience working on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
• Ability to learn and apply company policies and procedures to assigned tasks
• Ability to follow established procedures on routine work; requiring detailed instructions only on new assignments
• Ability to work independently, receiving little instruction on daily work, but receiving general instructions on newly introduced assignments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Excel, SAP experience a plus
• Detailed oriented, team player with excellent customer service skills
• Proven time management skills; extremely well-organized
• Basic knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
