Associate Staff Engineer, Spectrum & Regulatory Affairs, Asia-Pacific

Under minimal supervision of the Senior Director, Spectrum & Regulatory Affairs, the Senior Engineer is responsible for shaping relevant regulation and standards specifications in line with Shure’s strategy and vision and ensuring access to spectrum for Shure’s growth.

• Develop good relationship and establish communication with regulatory bodies for the Asia-Pacific region and reply to public consultations as Shure representative.
• Influence spectrum policy working with national regulatory bodies such China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, regional groups like Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as well as in industry groups, with customers, partners and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering analyses and provide technical recommendations on policies and standards related to spectrum management, especially for the Asia-Pacific region.

• Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory work and/or standards development.
• Extensive knowledge of RF communication systems.
• Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
