In your role as Senior Director, Global Product Management, Conferencing you will oversee product definition, development, market positioning, and lifecycle management for all of Shure’s conferencing products. You will create the vision and roadmap for the Company’s future product offerings, based on intimate knowledge of end user needs and behavior, the industry, competitors, worldwide distribution channels, and Shure’s core competencies and internal capabilities. You will work closely with Shure’s engineering leaders and strategy and innovation team to build a shared understanding of user needs and to foster innovation.

 

Additionally, you will partner with global sales leadership to gain input from go-to-market, market development, and channel partners in developing the product roadmap. You will leverage Shure’s market research and analysis, user experience, and industrial design teams to create compelling value propositions and manage the work efforts of others with responsibility for all personnel decisions. You will also be responsible for resource allocation, including budget, for the entire department.

 

This role will be hybrid, and based in our Chicago, IL and Niles, IL locations. 

Responsibilities

  • Determines product line positioning for conferencing products, consulting with sales leadership, engineering, and global marketing.
  • Determines appropriate elements of “front-end” process to activate for product concepts.
  • Engages market research and analysis team to evaluate market sizing, market potential and Shure opportunity for newly envisioned products and product iterations. Working closely with sales leadership, develop market share projections.
  • Builds preliminary price and forecast assumptions for product concepts in consultation with sales leadership, business analytics, and pricing. Provide preliminary price and forecast assumptions to finance for roadmap financial rollups.
  • Produces multi-year roadmap with financial analysis. Ensure product roadmap alignment with company financial objectives and metrics.
  • Delivers product charters to initiate product development teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in global product management of technical products and five years of global management responsibility.
  • IT or Professional A/V industry experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience with assessing intangible variables, identifying, and evaluating fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for major functional areas.
  • Able to direct and control the activities of one or more functional area, division, product group, or service areas.
  • Able to interact internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters. Influences policymaking.
