We're hiring a Director, Global Pricing to develop and implement a methodology and process to ensure that Shure’s pricing worldwide maximizes company profitability. In this role, you will gain a thorough understanding of the value of Shure’s software solutions, hardware products, global services, and our worldwide distribution models to make optimal recommendations to global sales and marketing leadership. You'll work closely with key stakeholders to establish new product pricing, price adjustments, licencing decisions, and promotional pricing.

 

This role can be hybrid from the Niles, IL headquarters or remote in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with sales and marketing leaders to establish new product pricing, price adjustments, and promotional pricing.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analytics team to develop analytical tools, evaluate scenarios, and highlight trade-offs between the profit and market share opportunity/risk of various options.
  • Work closely with regional product marketing teams to analyze SKU-level pricing.
  • Engage Market Research to elevate our understanding of Shure’s value and the impact of pricing options.
  • Build a dynamic framework to highlight areas of gray market risk based on changing currency valuation and suggest changes to improve price alignment within Shure.
  • Provide tools and parameters for sales via specifications and tenders.
  • Organize workshops and seminars on price-relevant topics such as value and behavioral pricing for Shure employees and distribution partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of corporate or consulting experience in pricing, marketing and commercial strategy, and analytical roles.
  • Experience in pricing B2C and B2B products across multiple distribution models (direct and indirect) and all major world markets.  Experience in the pricing of hardware, software, and services, including subscription models, is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate constructive discussion, challenge opposing viewpoints, and influence outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics or marketing required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • English fluency is required.  Fluency/proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, German, or Spanish highly beneficial.
  • Excel expertise required.  Experience with SAP and CRM systems is a plus.
