Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer

In this key engineering role, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing/analysis of our products. • Design, prototype, and test audio, networking, and power supply circuitry.
• Lead in the selection, design, and layout of digital and analog hardware.
• Integrate circuit blocks on complex designs, working closely with other engineering disciplines.
• Lead hardware architecture for new designs, specializing in electrical and audio aspects.
• Perform quality testing on products being developed, including conducting bench test evaluations of prototypes.
• Prepare and provide supporting design documentation, including schematics, design specifications, tuning procedures, experimental results, design options and tradeoffs.
• Test production prototypes in preparation for manufacturing.
• Perform hands-on bench troubleshooting at the component level, utilizing electrical, audio, and other test equipment to resolve performance issues.
• Evaluate and test alternate electrical components in products, due to sourcing issues or for potential cost reduction opportunities.
• Support all current Stem Ecosystem products from a hardware standpoint.
• Mentor junior electrical engineering staff.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience designing and developing electronics products as the electrical engineer from concept through mass production.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, DC supplies, spectrum analyzers, audio analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
• Experience implementing audio systems, AD/DA conversion, PoE circuitry, power supply circuitry, and integrated and discrete amplifiers and filters.
• Experience meeting EMI, EMC, and ESD government performance standards.
• Experience as an essential design team member carrying a product design from concept through production.
• Experience working on audio, IoT, and networking products is desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
