Musician & Consumer Audio Marketing’s goal is to build awareness and relevance of Shure brand among musicians, music lovers, and content creators by leading compelling marketing & branding campaigns to support the market sales growth.

We are looking for a passionate talent to reinforce our Musician & Consumer Audio marketing with the retail team in Japan who will primarily be responsible for the listening market.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Marketing Manager, this position leads the creation and implementation of marketing plans and programs to enhance branding and product communication to target customers so as to support the business direction and increase sales of Shure Musician & Consumer Audio (MCA) with a focus on the retail channel.   

She/he will build awareness of the Shure brand and products and lead a creative retail visual merchandising, sales promotion related activities and produce promotional events to increase sales, get potential buyer’s attention and to provide an excellent brand experience. 

  • As part of Shure Japan MCA team, you will play a critical role in the development of our marketing Go-to-Market plan and its implementation
  • Online to offline/Omni channel approach
  • Understanding of direct market strategy and in direct and how to adapt approach accordingly
  • With a good understanding of retail B2C market in Japan, you are responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of marketing activities
  • In collaboration with MCA sales and product marketing team, you will plan and execute display materials, monitor and maintain quality level of visibility at Shure authorized dealers in line with the brand policy, guideline and marketing strategy
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders internally and externally, you will create appealing and eye-catching display materials that lead the customer through Shure’s energy
  • You will prepare and deliver display support for in-store fairs, tradeshows and other events such as PR event, in line with strategic objective
  • In collaboration with MCA sales, visit regularly retail stores and check display condition and visibility, and give proper advice to partners occasionally
  • You will research competitive brands and retailers, the lifestyle and design trends, innovative visual merchandising approaches and promotion methods to propose effective retail communication materials
  • You will continue to develop your knowledge of MCA and be the ‘go-to’ person
  • You will develop good product knowledge and technical understanding of the solutions developed and offered
  • As our internal go to person and expert you will identify relevant trends and developments in the market and convert them to concrete actions
  • Take other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • You have experience (3+ years) in retail B2C channel marketing and brand marketing at a reputable FMCG and fast fashion or equivalent brands
  • Experience in visual merchandising and/or trade marketing is a plus
  • Experience in development of retail marketing materials incl. POS and giveaways is a plus
  • Passion for music and film entertainment is a plus
  • You are a strategic thinker paired with a goal-oriented personality and strong technical affinity
  • You have fundamental technical marketing skills and you possess a confident and transparent project management skills
  • You have a demonstrable track-record in the development of sophisticated content-based programs for building your brand and commercial success
  • You have a continuous-learner mindset with a strong understanding of the evolving digital landscape as it relates to digital marketing, content marketing and B2C marketing best practices
  • You can handle outsourcing agencies well
  • You preferably have experience working in a global company.
  • You speak and write fluent English and Japanese as well as being interested in other cultures
  • You have computer literacy as follows – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience in visual design tools incl Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus
  • You are willing to travel if required
