Reporting to Director, Retail Sales, Japan (interim – Manager, Applications Support), participates in field events to support sales growth for Company products in targeted market segments. Builds relationships with key customers via technical support and product demonstrations. Collects customer leads and useful feedback on Company products, programs, and services.

This position can be hybrid from our Tokyo office.


  • Under the direction of the Sales leads, provides technical and sales demonstrations for channel partners
  • Initiates on site salesperson trainings at key accounts, identifies opportunities for growth and reports back findings to sales teams to grow business
  • Develops and executes education programs and presentations with Sales Management and Applications Engineering, to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of Company product categories
  • Arranges technical and logistical support for conferences, seminars, clinics, and other special events
  • Cross vertical alignment on best practices
  • Provides support for, and input to, the Product Planners and Product Marketing Specialists on the Company’s product lines
  • Provides feedback to the Product Planners about products trends and competitive landscape
  • Regular interaction and engagement with the Applications team to seek product knowledge and education
  • Monitors and reports on competitive activity, both from a product and market development standpoint
  • Recommend ongoing improvements to the Market Development program to support our Japan business
  • Works with Marketing to develop multimedia educational training tools
  • Works with department administrator to keep track of inventory of demo equipment and loan stock
  • Creation of training materials, using PPT and other programs, as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experienced with a comprehensive technical knowledge of audio principles and products
  • Background or experience with (at least one of the following) live sound equipment, recording, pro audio, consumer audio
  • Well-versed on industry practices and/or company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates good judgment in problem solving by selecting methods and techniques to get solutions for difficult assignments and of diverse scope
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, multi-tasking, detail oriented, well-organized with time management skills
  • Excels in a team environment
  • Domestic travel in Japan to demo sites, tradeshows, events, and balance with work time in the office
