    Shure offers a challenging and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve week program is offered to undergraduate students that have completed at least 2 years of college, as well as graduate students. Each intern will receive a competitive salary and students who reside out of Illinois will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

     

    The Product Validation Intern will conduct electrical and mechanical validation tests on Shure and competitive products.  The Intern will get the opportunity to write test plans, document tests results, conduct root cause analysis on failures, and work with product teams on solutions to problems.

    Responsibilities

    The Intern will:

    • Conduct electrical and mechanical product validation and evaluation tests on Shure and competitive product prototypes and production samples
    • Operate laboratory test equipment and audio sound system equipment to emulate field venues within the laboratory environment
    • Collaborate with product teams to write test plans and document results in a database.
    • Analyze test results for root cause and pattern analysis.
    • Maintain the laboratory equipment inventory and scheduling with product teams.
    • Conduct physical prototyping, physical assembly, and disassembly of products

    Qualifications

    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical and/or mechanical engineering
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
    • Interest in mechanical, electrical, or audio system debugging
    • Able to complete tasks in creative and effective ways, when necessary.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
