    Summer 2020


    Shure offers a challenging and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve week program is offered to undergraduate students that have completed at least 2 years of college, as well as graduate students. Each intern will receive a competitive salary and students who reside out of Illinois will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.


    The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Development Engineering Intern will assist with the design and documentation of PCBs and PCB assemblies.


    • Learn the fundamentals of PCB design and schematic capture
    • Demonstrate a keen sense for problem solving and applying electrical and mechanical concepts on a physical PCB layout
    • Interface with various Product Development team members as appropriate


    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
    • Entry level to 2 years of experience
    • Basic knowledge of general engineering concepts and an interest in developing concepts related to PCB design and learns to use professional concepts
    • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics DxExpedition or similar Computer-aided Design (CAD) software tool
    • Self-motivated, team player, detail oriented
    • Able to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
    • Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
