    As the Director of Global Security, you will lead the development and implementation of Shure’s global physical security risk management strategy and associated programs which safeguard employees, facilities, inventories, operations, critical assets, and reputation across the world.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks to the organization; support existing incident and crisis management plans and protocols; support the continuity of business operations; and measure performance and drive continuous improvement.
    • In coordination with executive leadership, executes a strategy to build and implement the corporate security function in line with Shure’s global footprint, risk exposure, risk appetite, organizational requirements and business priorities as well as best practice, industry standards and applicable regulations.
    • Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s policies, standards, guidelines, processes, procedures and plans that will serve to govern and manage security for Shure globally. Coordinates with relevant stakeholders and staff to enforce compliance with policies and standards to help ensure consistent application of security practices across the organization.
    • Oversee, coordinates and implements key security programs to protect critical assets. These may include: physical, technical and site security; travel security; executive protection; event security; workplace violence prevention; investigations; threat analysis; and security training and awareness.
    • Support the crisis management program and plan.
    • Research and deploy state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques, tools and services to facilitate the effectiveness of the corporate security program.
    • Develop and manage the security budget and associated resources, including required staff. security tools, services and resources.
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, other security groups and teams (e.g., IT security), business lines and regions.
    • Cultivate and maintain effective liaison with relevant external entities, such as government and law enforcement agencies, industry bodies, regulatory agencies and private sector counterparts.
    • Foster positive security value perceptions across the enterprise.

    Qualifications

    • Advanced degree (or equivalent) and professional certifications in an area of study relevant to this position.
    • 10-15 years of experience in corporate security, (preferably in the private sector) with a minimum or 7-10 years of direct experience in a leadership role, including managing teams in a large organization.
    • Demonstrated experience in global security with a strong knowledge of security best practices including crisis management.
    • Ability to set and execute strategic goals and objectives for the corporate security program (including budget responsibilities) while also managing and implementing tactical, operational solutions.
    • Experience in developing, training, directing and managing a team.
    • Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization (including briefing executive management) on security initiatives, projects, decisions and information.
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other divisions, teams and stakeholders to implement security programs and practices.
    • Ability and willingness to respond 24/7 to company-related security emergencies and to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Must be able to flex schedule to support customers in various locations and time zones.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting expansion into new geographies.
    • Highly responsive, service oriented individual with the ability to manage confidential and highly sensitive information with the highest levels of discretion and professionalism.
    • Knowledge of proper protocols and procedures for investigating and responding to security breaches and incidents.
