  • Overview

    Reporting to the Credit Risk Manager and under minimal supervision, the Credit Analyst, will analyze the financial condition of external customers and authorize credit lines, order reports from credit reporting agencies, investigate credit references, and participate in assigned projects and other management directives as needed


    • Work Independently performing fundamental financial analysis of external customers, including credit investigation, evaluating the credit strength of customers and making credit decisions within established guidelines for transactions in a designated platform
    • Interface with the Sales team and various Shure departments to ensure timely adjudication of transactions.
    • Maintain and utilize Shure’s credit risk Model, KPI database, BW reports, and credit evaluation tools.
    • Approves transactions within authority and/or provides high quality recommendations to higher authority.
    • Control credit exposure, effect timely payment, minimize risk of disputes to support Credit Managers
    • Analyze individual customer creditworthiness, as well as industry conditions and country risk for Shure’s overseas clients.
    • Provide customer service, as needed, and develop relationships with internal/external customers
    • Maintain accurate credit and collection files
    • Supervise Intern, including hiring, training, and daily oversight.
    • Understand and communicate credit department policy
    • Active participation in department projects and cross-functional teams
    • Assist in quality improvements, processes and initiatives
    • Process and respond to credit reference requests as needed


    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field  
    • 1-5 years of experience
    • Demonstrated understanding of financial statements and ratio’s related to credit extension
    • SAP experience is a plus
    • Experience working effectively in a high paced, global, multi-business unit organization and working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
    • Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth credit analyses to include risk identification & possible mitigation tactics
    • Excellent oral & written communication skills, including business/financial writing, to enable efficient & effective communication with co-workers, as well as customers
    • Proven ability to successfully negotiate with customers regarding financial disclosure, terms & conditions and compliance thereto, risk mitigation, payment plans, etc.
    • Understanding of credit practices
    • Ability to identify & implement ongoing process improvements
    • Analytical thinker with good problem solving abilities
    • Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, sales reps, customer service reps, customers, and co-workers who generally interface with Credit and Collections
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. advanced Excel, PowerPoint, & Teams)
    • SharePoint and SQL experience is a plus
